Helena's most recognized news and sports "voice," Jay Scott,  has joined forces with KGRT-DB digital radio, and will begin reporting news on March 1

For 20 years, Jay Scott has reported news to Helena, and to Montana. A winner of 18  Montana Association of Broadcasters "E.B. Craney" awards for news and sports, Jay's work has won praise in various forums by Governors Marc Racicot, Judy Martz, Brian Schweitzer and Steve Bullock for its accuracy and fairness. His news broadcasts on KBLL-AM were rated number one in the Helena market for over a decade, and he was the first Montana broadcaster to stream news and sports to the rest of the State. 

His broadcasts of football, basketball and baseball were among the most popular high school sports streams in the US, and he has won several national awards for his play-by-play reporting. 

Some of Jay's career highlights include stints with the Chicago Black Hawks, White Sox, Bears and Bulls, and work for Northwestern, Indiana, Notre Dame, and Purdue Universities. He also anchored NBC Radio "News on the Hour," and has contributed to the BBC, as well as CBS, CNN, and ABC Radio. 

In his spare time, Jay is a sports official, working professional, college, and high school football, basketball, baseball, volleyball and hockey. He has worked high school state championship games and tournaments in several states, including Montana, and he helped write the National High School Federation designated hitter rules in baseball and softball.

Jay will bring unbiased and "family friendly" news to KGRT-DB listeners, beginning March 1.

design and with Integrity, that is not predictable based from a past of disfunction, trauma
or how the world says we should live our life. A life of our own creation. That we are all

Charles Hawes began his career as a freelance photographer for in his home state of West Virginia. A newspaper assignment for the St. Albans Community News resulted in assignments from other newspapers. Along with his father, who was a photojournalist, they photographed eleven US presidents, from Truman to George W Bush. Mr. Hawes continued his journalistic career as a freelance stringer for the Associated Press (AP). He covered everything from chemical fires to press conferences, most notably President Clinton’s visit to Charleston, West Virginia in 1993. Mr. Hawes continued his career as a stringer for WCHS TV8 in Charleston, West Virginia. Mr. Hawes is also an avid outdoorsman, and one day while sitting in a bar talking about some of his outdoor adventures friends, one friend suggested that he write a book about his many adventures, for which he has many off-the-wall stories to tell. The result was MisOutdoor Adventures, Mr. Africa, and Pink Beard the Pirate, which have all been published on Amazon. Mr. Hawes’ hobbies are hunting; fly fishing and woodworking, about which he writes articles for various publications. Mr. Hawes lives in Harlowton, Montana, in the United States of America.

Jake Ryan, The Space Cowboy, is an out of this world entertainer! Based in Montana. He produces Hip Hop, Country, Rock & EDM.

In early life, He picked up a guitar at age 15 and soon started a band. He began writing songs & performing live. He also learned to record, produce instrumental beats & DJ. Eventually, he started expanding & touring the nation. Offering a unique live show, complete with a light show & visuals!

He also writes scripts, films, directs, edits & acts in movies, music videos, skits & vlogs. 

As well as doing some photography & graphic design.

John Pulasky is a native Montanan. He was born in Great Falls, grew up in Billings and attended Montana State University in Bozeman. 

John has been a weathercaster on radio and television since 1976. He also taught aviation meteorology at the Rocky Mountain College in Billings for 25 years.

Since 2005, he has organized and developed a youth (K-12) environmental education programs with the non-profit organization, Our Montana. 

John and his wife Debbie live on the Huntley Project east of Billings and they have 4 granddaughters.

Jamie Rogers is eclectic, eccentric, and darn right outrageous. Her interest range from rock-hounding to rocking out. A Montana mother of three,  Jamie was born in Shelby, raised in Helena and has lived from the mountains to the valleys in Montana. She attended MSU-Billings and every concert in the state she could. 



A Helena high school student and long-boarder, Zoey Rogers is about as teenage you can get – oh – except she is an exceptionally talented photographer, cub reporter, writer, poet, and all-around great girl who is finding her way through the hallowed halls of state government and lives to tell about it.
